National vaccine manufacturer PT Bio Farma (Persero) took a biology teacher in junior high and high schools to socialize the importance of immunization to enhance immunity against diseases and harmful viruses.
"Education-related basic vaccines and immunization is very important in society, the biology teacher is one of the stakeholders that have a potential role for the socialization of immunization and vaccination," said Secretary of the company PT Bio Farma Rahman Rustan, in Bandung, last Monday.
He said, as the company's vaccines and antisera only in Indonesia, PT Bio Farma, held a special seminar for teachers of biology as well as encourage knowledge and education of vaccines and immunizations entered into the curriculum of education in Indonesia.
Immunization is an effort to boost immunity by incorporating the vaccine into the body so it can be resistant to disease that was endemic.
Activities are held in the framework of World Hepatitis Day and Anniversary-121 PT Bio Farma was also attended by parents of students, Red Cross Youth, as well as representatives OSIS-Bandung Raya

"The target of this activity is expected to introduce PT Bio Farma and to increase public knowledge related to vaccination and immunization are increasingly needed in the future," Rahman said Rustan.
Immunization in Indonesia since 1956 and the results of this country got off smallpox in 1974. However needs to be continued quality improvement of higher immunity society again.
"Socialization, implementation and optimization of immunization not only the duty of the government, but also depends on the community's role in supporting the program," said Rahman.
