Director General of Primary and Secondary Education Ministry of National Education Prof. Dr. Baedowi said the implementation of character education in schools that began the new academic year does not make a special lesson.
"Education is a character that does not stand alone in a particular subject, but coupled with the relevant subjects," he said after an inspector representing the Minister Muhammad Nuh ceremony at the launching of character education, in the western city of Solo field, last Monday.
He said that character education to the students who passed the teachers were not necessarily with specific subjects or separately, but can be combined with other subjects.
"For example, to establish good moral children, in the implementation of education could digabungan with religious subjects, while creating healthy children and sportsmanship can be delivered through the subjects and other sports," he said.
Through methods such education after graduating school children are expected to have good character. Children capable of independent, creative and did not cry, honestly.
Alluding to the target program, Baedhowi say this is moral education, if possible sooner would be better.
"Implementing moral education is not like turning the palm of the hand and takes time, but if it can be faster, that's what we expected," he said.
