Active smokers is said to be at risk of insomnia. Not without reason, of research conducted by a team of German researchers, 1,100 smokers surveyed, 17 percent of them, every night sleeping less than 6 hours. About 28 percent also admitted, always distracted or sleep less soundly.
According to the research team, Stefan Cohrs from Charite Medical School Berlin, Germany, this study is the first study to examine whether sleep disturbance is a problem caused from smoking lifestyle.
Of exposure Cohrs, this does not prove a direct link between smoking and poor sleep quality, since there is the possibility that the smokers have other habits that can interfere with sleep quality, such as staying up late watching television or lack of exercise. Age, weight, and alcohol intake can interfere with one's sleep.
However, the initial conclusions, Cohrs and other research team says that there is no indication of the effects of nicotine that can cause poor sleep smokers.
